401(k) 401(k) matching Training & development Common Heart Donor Services Coordinator Founded in 2006, Common Heart works to create a "small revolution of kindness" in our community to eradicate food insecurity and eliminate generational poverty. Common Heart serves under-resourced families and individuals in Union County, NC, and the surrounding area through 15 food pantry outreaches and Economic Empowerment programs. Now, all we're missing is Y-O-U!. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Donor Services Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring donor information is accurate, financial records are properly documented, and our generous donors receive the acknowledgment they deserve. The successful candidate must embrace Common Heart's mission of serving and empowering our neighbors with kindness and compassion. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Donor Data Management:
Maintaining accurate records in Keela (our CRM), entering donations from various sources, and generating giving reports.
Donation Processing:
Researching and matching donations from online platforms, checks, and donor-advised funds, and preparing information for QuickBooks.
Donor Relations:
Promptly and courteously contacting donors regarding unsuccessful payments or updates to their information.
Financial Reconciliation:
Investigating discrepancies and reconciling Keela records with accounting records monthly.
Online Account Management:
Monitoring giving platforms and employee-matching agencies for incoming donations and administrative requirements.
Team Support:
Providing general administrative assistance to the Engagement Director and participating in staff meetings and planning sessions.
The ideal candidate is:
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. You should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high degree of initiative, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office is required, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with total confidentiality is essential.
Position Details:
Part-Time 15 hours per week and wage is $15-$17 per hour. Work is primarily performed in an office environment.
Qualifications:
Alignment with Common Heart core values: Intentional Kindness, Active Engagement, Initiative, Collaboration, and Servant Leadership. Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in administrative support, data entry, bookkeeping, or donor services.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with Keela or other Donor CRM , QuickBooks, Stripe, and other nonprofit fundraising environments. Ability to learn and effectively use donor-management and payment-processing systems.
Requirements:
Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically. A background check, reference check, and drug screening are required for this position.
