Respond with Compassionate Action We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our World Medical Mission team in North Wilkesboro, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the role of Administrative Assistant , you will have the opportunity to: Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ Provide dependable administrative and ministry support for World Medical Mission by managing phone coverage, general inquiries, correspondence, email, faxes, copying, mail distribution, errands, and administrative needs for department personnel. Demonstrate strong stewardship and attention to detail by reviewing expense reports, travel itineraries and authorizations, invoices, and other reports for accuracy, proper coding, policy compliance, and appropriate charges before departmental and SCAP approval. Maintain organized and accurate departmental operations through timely database and record management, office supply inventory and ordering, equipment and copier coordination, end-of-day responsibilities, and backup support for Administrative Assistants. Support effective leadership and communication by maintaining the Manager's calendar, coordinating meetings, preparing conference and meeting materials, proofreading communications, and keeping staff informed regarding routine and moderately complex administrative projects and developments. Advance excellence in support of Samaritan's Purse ministry by coordinating departmental projects and special reports, including Donor Ministries relationships, researching historical information, and ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard.. Other duties as assigned What are the qualifications? Serve with Excellence As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required; experience with CRM, Serenic, Alchemy, and PowerPoint is preferred. Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and other written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions to support safe and effective operations. Ability to maintain accurate data and system entries, organize information efficiently, and prepare clear correspondence, reports, and procedural documentation with excellence and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers, employees, and other stakeholders, representing Samaritan's Purse with professionalism, clarity, and a servant's heart. Ability to apply basic mathematical principles, including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, percentages, and bar graphs, while solving practical problems and exercising sound judgment when working with varied circumstances and limited standardization.
