40 Hours per Week Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the rehabilitation team at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Oxford, NC . The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care, helping patients regain mobility, improve functional independence, and achieve their therapy goals.- Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments as outlined in the patient's plan of care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, strengthening, and mobility activities.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and progress according to facility guidelines.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, safety techniques, and mobility strategies.
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements. Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License in North Carolina (or compact eligibility if applicable).
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Previous experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care (LTC), Rehabilitation, or Post-Acute Care preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. Required for Submission
