Job Description
Family and Community Services (FCS) Aide Blue Valley Community Action Partnership (BVCA) Help make a difference in your community every day. Blue Valley Community Action Partnership (BVCA) is seeking a friendly, organized, and service-oriented Family and Community Services (FCS) Aide to join our Family and Community Services team. This position serves as the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance and plays an important role in connecting community members with resources while supporting our food pantry, thrift store, and community programs. 32 hrs/week with Full Time benefits If you enjoy helping others, providing excellent customer service, and working in a meaningful, mission-driven environment, we'd love to hear from you! What You'll Do As an FCS Aide, you will: Welcome clients and visitors while providing outstanding customer service. Answer phones and provide information about BVCA programs and community resources. Assist with clerical duties including filing, recordkeeping, data entry, and preparing documents. Support daily operations of the food pantry by receiving donations, stocking shelves, preparing food orders, and maintaining inventory. Assist with Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) distributions. Help operate the BVCA thrift store by sorting donations, assisting customers, operating the cash register, and maintaining an organized shopping environment. Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of client information. Support outreach activities and work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners. Qualifications Required High school diploma. Strong customer service and communication skills. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet navigation. Ability to organize multiple tasks while working independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license, reliable insured transportation, and a good driving record. Ability to successfully pass required background checks. Preferred Two years of experience in human services, customer service, or a related field. Why Join BVCA?
