An Administrative Clerk or Coordinator performs administrative work in an office. Coordinates work to support an office team. Works in a wide variety of office settings, such as a company or business, or a government office or school. Manages paper and electronic files, uses office equipment including computers, responds to phone calls and emails. May manage office staff expenses, supplies or schedules.
The Office Coordinator provides administrative, financial, and operational support to the UNK Honors Program and UNK Global, dividing time evenly between the two units (50/50). This position serves as a primary point of contact for both offices, supports day-to-day operations, and contributes to student development through coaching, advising, and program coordination. The ideal candidate brings a student-first mindset, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, sound judgment in problem-solving, and the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously across two distinct departmental environments.
UNK Global Position Information UNK Honors Program Position Information Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience (5+ years). 1-2 years of professional experience in a higher education or comparable office setting, with demonstrated skills in departmental operations. Experience with financial processes such as purchasing, deposits, or budget reconciliation, or a demonstrated ability to learn P-Card and budget procedures. Excellent communication, listening, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously across two departments. Record of accomplishment in academic, administrative, or professional positions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree Experience working in a university environment with faculty, staff, and administration. Experience coordinating events or programs, particularly those involving international visitors or partners. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with students, including supervising or coordinating student workers. Experience with HR-related processes such as hiring, onboarding, or personnel recordkeeping. Experience with assessment planning, implementation, and analysis.
