The ideal candidate will provide administrative support and assist in various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the office. We are a growing physical therapy, and massage therapy clinic in Manchester, NH. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high organizational effectiveness and communication levels. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, friendly, a team player, outgoing, independent, flexible, organized and can multi-task efficiently. The candidate must also have a strong understanding of insurance processes, insurance verification/authorizations with strong time-management and computer/internet skills.
Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Perform data entry tasks with precision and accuracy
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by greeting patients by name/manage patient flow
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments
  • Managing patient accounts
  • Checking patient insurance benefits including eligibility/benefits, and if patient's require authorization for services.
  • Organize office workload and manage busy reception area
  • Maintain clean office space
  • Discuss balance owed with patients and collect patient payments.
  • Provide general administrative support to our employees
  • General office duties including opening office, answering phones, data entry, copying, scanning, faxing, emailing, filing, organizing, day-sheet tally and light cleaning.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as front office manager or office administrator.
  • Previous experience working in healthcare environment.
  • Previous experience with HIPAA regulations and working with PHI.
  • Previous experience with electronic medical records.
  • Knowledge of healthcare Billing/coding.
Pluses:
  • History working in a Physical therapy and/or Chiropractic clinic.
  • Basic fitness and nutrition knowledge (not required).
Required experience:
Previous experience as a Front office manager or Office administrator would be an advantage. A successful Office administrator should have experience with a variety of office software (email tools, spreadsheets, and databases) and be able to accurately handle administrative duties. Must be a fast learner, possess strong communication and phone skills. Ultimately, the Office manager should be able to ensure the smooth running of the office and help to improve company procedures and day-to-day operation.   • Proven experience as an Office manager, Front office manager or administrative assistant
  • Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems, and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel in particular)
  • Hands on experience with office machines (e.g., fax machines and printers)
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements and assist with marketing tasks
  • High School degree; additional qualification as an administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
