Job Description

The Town of New Boston is accepting applications for a full-time position as the Fire and Building Department Administrative Assistant. Key responsibilities include providing administrative support for the daily operation of the Fire and Building departments including answering phones, answering emails, preparing correspondence, interacting with residents, applicants, contractors, or others seeking assistance. See town website for job description at newbostonnh.gov. The ideal candidate must possess secretarial, interpersonal, organizational and computer skills. Other preferred skills include strong verbal and written communication, ability to work independently as well as part of a team and attention to detail. Any combination of education and experience which demonstrates proficiency of the required knowledge, skills and abilities, OR an associate degree in business administration or computer technology with two years' experience in government or related fields is preferred.
