full-time About The River Center The River Center is a New Hampshire Family Resource Center providing parent education, family support, and community connections throughout the Eastern Monadnock Region. We believe strong families build strong communities, and we work to make sure people can find the support and resources they need. About the Position The Office Administrator & Family Resource Assistant helps make The River Center a welcoming place for families while keeping our office and financial systems running smoothly. This position is a mix of family support, office administration, and financial work . We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working independently, and enjoys connecting with people.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Support Families & Community Members Welcome visitors, answer phones, and respond to questions. Connect families with River Center programs, staff, and community resources. Provide information and referrals related to parenting, early childhood, benefits, housing, employment, and other needs. Support program registration, enrollment, data collection, and communication. Maintain confidentiality and treat everyone with respect and care. Support Office & Financial Operations Process payroll and maintain payroll records. Prepare deposits, process invoices, and assist with accounts payable and receivable. Maintain financial records and assist with billing, reconciliations, grant reporting, and audits. Manage office supplies, purchasing, vendors, mail, filing, and administrative systems. And more. Support the Team & Community Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and program staff. Assist with scheduling, meetings, events, special projects, volunteers, and community activities. Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing improvement. Help foster a positive, collaborative, and welcoming workplace. And more. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in office administration, financial administration, human services, nonprofit operations, or a related field. Experience with payroll and financial records. Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks or similar financial software. Good judgment and commitment to confidentiality. Experience working with families or community members preferred. Associate's degree or related education preferred; equivalent experience considered. Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and family-centered practices.
