Under the direction of the Pantry Services Manager, the Pantry Services Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Food Bank Network's pantry services. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient pantry operations, consistent adherence to established procedures and participant guidelines, and fosters a welcoming, participant-centered experience. The Pantry Services Coordinator will provide hands-on operational support, assist with volunteer gaps in coverage, maintain pantry organization and readiness, and help ensure that pantry services are delivered consistently and efficiently across operating hours for all pantries within the Food Bank Networks network. This position offers a flexible schedule that will be developed in collaboration with the Pantry Services Manager based on operational needs and the employee's availability. Availability is required every Thursday from 4:30 PM-8:30 PM, with additional evening and Saturday availability as needed to support pantry operations and ensure adequate coverage.
Key Responsibilities :
  • Support daily pantry operations, workflow, and readiness.
  • Ensure pantry policies, procedures, and participant limits are consistently followed.
  • Assist with participant intake and provide welcoming, respectful, participant-centered service.
  • Maintain pantry organization, stocking, inventory, cleanliness, and overall distribution readiness.
  • Identify and address operational challenges and communicate staffing or participant concerns to the Pantry Services Manager.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of pantry procedures and operational practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and collaboration with staff, volunteers, participants, and community partners; perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in food insecurity, nonprofit, social services, or another client-facing environment; experience with trauma-informed and client-centered care preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and motivate volunteers and staff.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain flexible, calm, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using technology; able to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, compassion, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work weeknights and Saturdays as needed and perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds independently.
