A key Business Office position supporting accurate, organized and compliant district-wide financial operations.ABOUT THE POSITION
Reports to:Business Administrator Salary & Work Year:
12 month position,Salary Range:
$55,000 -$65,000Start Date:
December 1, 2026 WHATYOU'LL DO
Process purchase orders, vendor payments and invoices, including verification of account codes and required documentation. Maintain the master vendor database and vendor files, including required certifications and purchasing documentation. Generate and process monthly check runs, prepare check registers for Board of Education approval, and upload check reports and voids to the district banking system. Record and reconcile district cash receipts; make bank deposits or use a check scanner as assigned. Oversee Special Education tuition and out-of-district receivables and payables, including tracking, invoicing and timely collection/disbursement. Handle facility-use invoicing and other district receivables. Complete monthly bank reconciliations, maintain financial records for annual audits, and prepare monthly Fund 20 expenditure reports. Assist the Business Administrator and Assistant Business Administrator with confidential secretarial and financial duties.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma required; coursework in bookkeeping, accounting and business mathematics preferred. College degree or equivalent advanced business/secretarial experience preferred. Proven experience with bookkeeping, accounting procedures and office practices. Strong knowledge and proficiency in Google Suite and computerized accounting/data-processing software. Experience with Systems3000 strongly preferred. Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail and initiative. Personable, accurate and dependable, with the ability to handle confidential financial and office matters.REQUIREMENTS
Required criminal history background check. Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status. Current New Jersey residency, approved residency waiver, or agreement to obtain residency within one year of employment.DEADLINE TO APPLY IS OCTOBER 1, 2026
