PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
: Provides secretarial support to the English Department faculty. Answers and responds to telephone, e-mail, and online inquiries. Processes faculty requests with respective campus offices. Facilitates English placement testing process. Assists with purchasing and faculty reimbursements. Creates and manages personnel files for faculty. Secures and maintains proper personnel documentation for faculty. Assists office staff with day-to-day administrative responsibilities. Orders and maintains department supplies. Supports coordination of Departmental events. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: High school diploma or equivalent Three (3) years of secretarial experience in a busy office setting Strong Microsoft Office skills with knowledge of, and experience using, Word, Outlook, and Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Degree Ability to deal positively with a diverse population Excellent phone and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to make independent decisions
