Job Description
Overview Levinson Axelrod, P.A., is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our law office. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of N.J. Plaintiff personal injury law, have Plaintiff personal injury litigation experience and possess excellent organizational skills. If you are passionate about the legal field and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply. Salary is commensurate with experience but can range from $60K-$75K. Duties Manage and organize documents using document management systems to ensure easy retrieval and filing. Conduct document review and assist in legal drafting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards. Proofread legal documents for clarity, grammar, and formatting before submission. Transcribe legal correspondence and meeting notes as required. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while adhering to ethical guidelines. Requirements Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within a law office is required. Familiarity with personal injury law is highly required. Proficiency in document management systems. Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail. Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients and colleagues. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to learn new skills related to the legal field.
