About Us We are a well-established electrical contracting company based in New Jersey, specializing in solar installations, state-funded public projects, and commercial/industrial electrical work. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator & Estimating Assistant to support our estimating and administrative functions while helping keep our operations running smoothly. Position Summary The Office Administrator & Estimating Assistant provides administrative support to the Senior Estimator and assists with a variety of office functions. This position plays an important role in preparing bid documents, organizing project information, coordinating administrative tasks, and ensuring the office operates efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and has strong attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Senior Estimator during the bid preparation process. Assist with preparing bid packages, proposals, and estimating documentation. Complete and organize prequalification packages and bid-related paperwork. Maintain organized electronic and paper files for bids, estimates, and project documentation. Prepare, format, and proofread correspondence, proposals, and other business documents. Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, customers, and internal team members to obtain required information. Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with general office administrative duties. Order office supplies and assist with maintaining an organized office environment. Support management with various administrative projects and operational tasks as needed. Qualifications Previous administrative experience, preferably within construction, electrical contracting, engineering, or a related industry. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer applications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team. Experience supporting estimating, bidding, or construction operations is a plus but not required. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with construction bidding processes. Experience working with electrical contractors or construction companies. Experience reading or organizing construction plans and specifications is a plus.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
