The Ridgewood Public Schools is seeking an Administrative Assistant - Child Study Team to provide essential administrative support to the Child Study Team. This position will coordinate meetings, complete documentation, coordinate evaluations, and communications related to student services. The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, dependable, and collaborative, with a commitment to supporting students, families, and school staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule Child Study Team meetings, evaluations, and IEP meetings Prepare agendas, meeting notices, and related documentation Type, format, and organize reports, IEPs, and other special education documents Assist with tracking timelines and required documentation Maintain accurate and confidential student records
Office & Clerical Duties:
Provide daily clerical and administrative support to Child Study Team members Enter and maintain student information in district systems Process and organize incoming and outgoing records and documentation
Reception & Communication:
Handle incoming phone calls and direct messages to the appropriate staff Communicate professionally with parents, staff, service providers, and outside agencies Assist with scheduling and communication related to meetings and evaluations
Confidentiality & Professionalism:
Maintain strict confidentiality of student and family information Demonstrate professionalism, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
Start and End Dates:
01/05/27 - 06/30/27
Working Conditions:
10-month, permanent position, medical benefits and pension. Salary range is $43,729-52,729, commensurate with education and experience as per negotiated contract.

Other Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills necessary for the handling of highly confidential information and providing high quality service both internally and externally. Effective time management, problem-solving, organizational, and written and verbal skills. Experience with computer applications, e.g., Microsoft Office, as well as familiarity with the Google suite and other web-based applications. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new procedures, computer applications, and software systems, including those currently used and ones adopted by the district. Ability to work independently as appropriate, analyze a situation accurately, and implement an effective course of action. Ability to work effectively as a team member and to collaborate on group projects to ensure their successful completion. Knowledge of school district organization and operations preferred.
