Job Description
We are looking for an organized and dependable Administrative Assistant to provide day-to-day support in a school-based environment. This Long-term Contract position will work closely with building leadership to help maintain efficient office operations, coordinate communications, and support a wide range of administrative activities. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while delivering excellent service to staff, visitors, and callers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct administrative support to the building principal and assist with daily office coordination.
- Welcome visitors, respond to incoming phone calls, and ensure inquiries are handled promptly.
- Maintain records, enter information accurately into office systems, and prepare routine correspondence and documents.
- Organize calendars, schedule meetings, and help coordinate school or office activities as needed.
- Support general front desk operations by managing reception tasks and routing communications appropriately.
- Assist with clerical duties such as filing, copying, scanning, and distributing materials to staff.
- Handle a variety of changing priorities and provide dependable support for ongoing administrative needs.
- Prior experience in an administrative assistant, receptionist, or office support role.
- Strong ability to answer inbound calls and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and external contacts.
- Proficiency in general administrative office procedures and day-to-day clerical functions.
- Accurate data entry skills with strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and adjust to shifting priorities in a busy environment.
- Detail-oriented approach, dependable work habits, and a customer-service mindset.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
