Job Description

Administrative Support Specialist About Us We are a Christian nonprofit ministry and Messianic congregation located in suburban northern New Jersey, approximately 20 minutes from the George Washington Bridge. Through worship, broadcasting, compassion projects, and humanitarian outreach, we serve people locally and around the world by offering practical support, encouragement, and hope through the Gospel. Position Overview We are seeking an organized, dependable, and service-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to assist with daily office operations, database entry, and customer service. This on-site position is ideal for someone who works carefully, takes initiative, manages multiple priorities, and is supportive of our Christian mission. The successful candidate will be motivated, accountable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent service to ministry supporters, community members, and others who contact the organization. Key Responsibilities Manage the accurate and timely entry and updating of high-volume information from phone calls, donations, and orders in the customer service database. Respond to phone calls, emails, and written correspondence in a professional and courteous manner. Provide helpful customer service to ministry supporters, members, and the public. Perform general administrative and clerical duties, including organizing documents and maintaining records. Maintain the office inventory spreadsheet and keep inventory records accurate and up to date. Monitor office and ministry supply levels and place orders as needed. Track incoming supplies, organize storage areas, and communicate supply needs to the appropriate staff members. Use Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and other basic computer applications. Manage multiple tasks, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines. Maintain confidentiality, consistency, organization, and integrity in all responsibilities. Work cooperatively with staff members while also completing assignments independently. Support other administrative needs and ministry-related projects as assigned. Qualifications Previous administrative, office support, customer service, or data-entry experience. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and basic computer applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under pressure. Dependable, proactive, positive, and willing to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Respect for and willingness to support the ministry's Christian mission.

Full-time, occasional overtime required.
Compensation:
$20 per hour
