Gov Projects Administrator NV Energy - 3.6 Las Vegas, NV Job Details Full-time 1 hour ago Qualifications Customer communication Desktop applications Adobe Acrobat Full Job Description Basic Purpose Primary contact for government projects that affect Company's transmission facilities. Leads small transmission line projects. Coordinates transmission line conflicts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supports public works projects affecting transmission facilities. Coordinates development of associated estimates and schedules. Supports negotiations and development of contractual agreements for public works projects affecting transmission facilities. Leads transmission conflict process with external customers, developers, and government agencies to ensure facilities are compatible with surrounding development. Manages associated small transmission line projects. Develops and maintains professional and technical relationships with external customers and local government agencies. Maintains communication with publics works project managers. Assists with the assessment of obligations and cost responsibility for transmission projects. Manages multiple small transmission line projects from their inception to the completion and closeout of field installation. Ensures superior customer service to government agencies. Assists project management in multi-discipline public works projects. Ensures timely execution of Company's transmission projects. Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company. Performs related duties as assigned. Essential Education, Skills, and Environment Education and Work Experience Associate degree in Engineering or Design related fields from an accredited school and 3 years of related work experience. Candidates that do not possess an associate degree must have a minimum of 5 years of related work experience. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated knowledge of: Utility industry design and construction standards as well as interpreting company and outside agency standards.
Skills such as:
Organizational, interpersonal and communication. Equipment and Applications PCs, adobe acrobat, word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Work Environment and Physical Demands General office environment. No special physical demands required.
