General Summary:
Provides direction and day-to-day management of educational and departmental activities, including administrative support to the program directors of the fellowship training programs and educational coordination between attending physicians, fellows, institutional, and regulatory administrative offices. This role is responsible for coordinating fellowship recruitment, social functions, and education requirements. Also participates in budget review and financial processes. Acts as a liaison between the programs and the UB-GME offices, and is responsible for compiling and submitting various reports to outside entities, including ACGME.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Administer, coordinate, and supervise multiple pediatric fellowship programs Ensure fellow compliance with established policies and procedures Manage and coordinate ACGME-conducted accreditation site visits Maintain web-based ACGME accreditation surveys for assigned fellowship programs Compile and submit reports to ACGME, American Board of Pediatrics, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Association of Medical Colleges, AMA, and other professional organizations as required Maintain GME Track Surveys Documentation for all graduate medical education training conducted Maintenance of all fellowship personnel and educational records Developing new procedures in response to new or revised policies issued by governing agencies or program directors Plan, organize, and schedule new fellow orientation Attend meetings at UB and UPA as needed Implementation of policies developed by the divisions Train and supervise, as needed, training program administrators within the Medical Education Division. Assemble and update recruitment packets to include brochures & printed materials, as well as maintain website information Coordinate fellowship candidate interviews with current fellows and faculty for each program Prepare written reports and correspondence for the Program Director Coordinate social functions for the Fellowship Programs Responsible for employment paperwork for fellows and submits to the UB GME office Qualifications Bachelor's degree in health care administration or related field; or equivalent and/or; Three years of experience in administrative and implementation within a medical/academic setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and general office procedures Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Exceptional communication skills and a professional demeanor. Ability to problem-solve proactively. • The pay range shown is an estimate of possible base compensation that may be given to a qualified applicant at the time of posting. When setting pay, various factors will be taken into account such as but not limited to location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, professional credentials, internal equity, and budget.
