Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Administrative Assistant role located in Central Islip, NY. The Administrative Assistant will handle daily office tasks such as answering and directing phone calls, greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars. Responsibilities include organizing and maintaining physical and electronic files, preparing basic legal and administrative documents, and performing general clerical duties such as copying, scanning, mailing, and data entry. The role also involves supporting attorneys with administrative needs, coordinating correspondence, and ensuring the reception and office areas remain orderly and professional. The individual in this position will interact regularly with clients and staff, maintaining a courteous and confidential approach at all times. Requirements Use of NYS E-filing system (completion of training courses for e-filing will be required if unable to demonstrate prior experience) Administrative support skills, including Administrative Assistance and Executive Administrative Assistance. Strong Phone Etiquette and Communication skills for professional client and colleague interactions. Solid Clerical Skills, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and basic office organization. Ability to maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail in a legal office setting. Proficiency with common office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, and calendaring tools). Strong time management, reliability, and ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment. Prior experience in a law office or professional services environment is beneficial, including experience with legal platforms and court e-filing systems Associate's degree or equivalent required; additional training or coursework in office administration is a plus.
