Job Description

Part-time Religious School Administrative Assistant Typical Schedule:
Monday:
12:30 pm-8:30 pm
Tuesday:
1:00 pm-6:30 pm
Wednesday:
2 hours (preferably mid-late morning or early afternoon)
Thursday:
12:30 pm-6:15 pm
Friday:
2 hours (preferably mid-late morning or early afternoon)
Duties:
Coordinate registration for school and education-related programs. Maintain religious school calendars and coordinate with the overall temple calendar. Logistical support for education events and programs. Support Rabbi-Educator and Assistant Principal's calendar and communication Manage school database system and registration Ordering of school supplies Assist teachers with supply and photocopying needs. Work with the maintenance team to make sure rooms are set up properly. Create and distribute documentation to parents and students. Set up religious school classrooms with supplies. Manage and keep records for teaching staff payroll. Work closely with temple staff to support the overall functioning of the temple.
Requirements:
Prior work experience utilizing transferable skillset Strong computer skills Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), Google Drive, prior database use Prior database entry & reporting use (email marketing, know how to mail merge, ability to create a form, basic website skills to upload content/pictures). Excellent organization and communication skills Ability to interact with children of all ages, parents, and colleagues. Demonstrable initiative and proactive approach to anticipate different programming needs for classes and family education programming.
