Job Description
In-Person Administrative Assistant Part-Time | In-Person | Waterville, NY | Approximately 25 Hours/Week Home Sweet Home Cleaning & Gardening is looking for a dependable, hands-on Administrative Assistant who naturally notices what needs to be done and takes ownership of getting it handled. This is not a traditional desk-only administrative position. You may start your day organizing supplies, updating a tracker, and preparing interview materials. Then a printer stops working, a package arrives, a vacuum needs attention, a candidate walks in, or the field team needs supplies delivered. We're looking for someone who can adjust, prioritize, solve practical problems, and follow through without becoming overwhelmed. If you enjoy creating order, helping a team stay prepared, and being the dependable person behind the scenes, this may be the right role for you. What You'll Do Open and close the Clinton office Receive, sort, record, and distribute packages and mail Organize office supplies, uniforms, equipment, paperwork, and shared spaces Monitor inventory and help ensure supplies are replenished before they run out Issue and track vacuums, equipment, uniforms, and cleaning supplies Perform basic vacuum cleaning, troubleshooting, and approved repairs Troubleshoot everyday office issues involving printers, scanners, internet, and basic technology Prepare the office and materials for candidate interviews Greet candidates and help them feel welcome Complete basic data entry and maintain assigned trackers Assist with simple quotes and reschedules using established procedures Make occasional trips to our Manlius office Complete local pickups, deliveries, supply transfers, and business errands Provide neutral support during certain employee meetings when requested Take clear, factual notes during meetings Complete other tasks that support the office and field team What We're Looking For You may be a strong fit if you: Are dependable and punctual Notice problems before someone has to point them out Take initiative and follow through Enjoy keeping things organized Are comfortable working independently Stay calm when priorities change Can manage several small responsibilities without losing track of them Enjoy practical, hands-on work Are willing to learn how to troubleshoot basic equipment Pay close attention to details Know when to solve a problem yourself and when to ask for help Communicate clearly and professionally Respect confidentiality and professional boundaries Take pride in making other people's work easier This Role May Not Be Right for You If...
