Job Description:
Position Summary Hamilton College is seeking Temporary Administrative Support professional(s) for various departments to assist with day-to-day office operations. These roles will provide essential support across administrative functions and is well-suited to individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Assignment length and hours are flexible depending on departmental needs. With the exception of Federal/State Mandated Benefits, positions non-benefited. Hours and duration vary by department need. Both full-time and part-time temporary assignments may be available. Specific schedule to be discussed with the hiring department. Responsibilities Provide general administrative and clerical support, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing correspondence Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and calendars Maintain organized filing systems (physical and digital) Process and route incoming/outgoing mail and packages Assist with data entry and maintenance of accurate records/databases Support event or meeting logistics Order and track office supplies, as needed Assist staff with special projects as assigned Perform other duties as required
Education & Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Prior administrative, clerical, or office support experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or
Google Workspace Preferred:
Associate's or bachelor's degree Experience working in a higher education or academic setting Experience with college-specific systems (e.g., Colleague, Workday, or similar) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information
Compensation Range:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
