  • The mission of the New York City Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in New York City by working in partnership with the community to enforce the law, preserve peace, protect the people, reduce fear, and maintain order.
The New York City Police Department strives to foster a safe and fair city through the strategic deployment of resources, focusing on both crime prevention and addressing quality-of-life concerns while building lasting community relationships. The Printing Section provides print materials upon request by the NYPD. The Printing Section is a full service in-plant print facility comparable to any commercial printing establishment in the private sector. There three (3) methods of printing offered are inkjet, digital and conventional offset. The Printing Section handles design work, print production, finishing and distribution. Print material produced include books, manuals, flyers, maps, posters, stationery, program booklets, targets, banners, and secure items. The duties performed under supervision include clerical and related work such as:
  • Data entry;
  • Writing work orders, invoicing;
  • Communication response, telephone calls, emails, customer service;
  • Provide work order status,
  • Assist administrative team with records, and
  • Research

INFORMATION
The Printing Section operates in a production environment. There are several large production printers, printing presses and commercial grade bindery machines located onsite. In compliance with federal Law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.   • 10251 Minimum Qualifications Qualification Requirements A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience. Skills Requirement Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute. Preferred Skills
