Full-Time Position Summary SXCS is seeking an experienced and professional Administrative Assistant/ Office Assistant for our Comprehensive Outpatient Program (COP). We are looking for an individual with previous experience working in a doctor's office, medical clinic, behavioral health facility, hospital, or other healthcare setting. Bilingual Preferred. The ideal candidate must have excellent telephone and customer service skills, be comfortable communicating with patients and healthcare professionals, and be able to manage a busy front desk in a confidential and professional manner. Responsibilities Answer and manage incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Greet patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals. Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Direct calls and messages to physicians, nurses, clinical staff, and appropriate departments. Communicate professionally with doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories, and other healthcare providers. Assist patients with general questions regarding appointments and program services. Complete patient check-in and check-out procedures. Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Assist with referrals and obtaining necessary patient information. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Provide administrative support to the medical and clinical teams. Maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming front desk environment. Perform additional administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous front desk experience in a doctor's office, medical clinic, behavioral health program, hospital, or similar healthcare environment is strongly preferred. Experience answering and managing a high volume of telephone calls. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally with physicians, clinical staff, hospitals, patients, and families. Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) preferred. Strong computer and data-entry skills. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy clinical environment. Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
