CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Customer Service Representative at Forest Hills Veterinary Care, you will serve as a welcoming and professional point of contact for clients and their pets. You will be expected to provide exceptional customer service while supporting the hospital team and maintaining an organized, clean, and welcoming environment. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Greet all clients and their pets warmly and professionally upon arrival, making eye contact, smiling, and creating a welcoming first impression. Circulate through the reception and waiting areas as needed to ensure that every client feels welcomed, acknowledged, and valued. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills when interacting with clients, doctors, veterinary technicians, assistants, and other hospital team members. Consistently demonstrate empathy, respect, professionalism, patience, and compassion toward clients, their pets, and fellow employees. Maintain an eager-to-assist attitude and demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to providing excellent client service. Assist emergency walk-ins by promptly identifying their needs and directing them to the appropriate veterinary medical team member or hospital contact. Monitor clients and wait times and communicate with the appropriate hospital team members to help expedite visits and maintain an efficient client flow. Provide clients with clear, courteous explanations regarding extended wait times or delays and offer appropriate assistance as needed. Answer routine client questions and provide accurate information regarding hospital services, veterinary doctors, procedures, and available specialty services, while appropriately directing medical or clinical questions to the veterinary medical team. Direct clients to available refreshments and assist in maintaining an inviting and comfortable waiting area. Keep the reception, waiting, and work areas clean, sanitized, organized, and presentable. Organize and restock business cards, brochures, magazines, client information materials, and other supplies as needed. Monitor the condition of client-facing amenities and notify the appropriate maintenance or hospital personnel of vending machine, coffee machine, or other facility-related malfunctions. Perform light administrative and clerical duties as assigned, including assisting with client information, paperwork, communications, and other front-desk responsibilities. Maintain a professional appearance and comply with Forest Hills Veterinary Care's dress and uniform requirements. Maintain familiarity with the hospital's doctors, veterinary services, specialty services, policies, and procedures in order to answer routine client questions and provide appropriate direction. Protect client confidentiality and handle client and hospital information in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Work cooperatively with all hospital departments and team members to promote a positive client experience and efficient hospital operations. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Hospital Manager or other authorized hospital leadership. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week
