Job Description

Tiegerman Preschool and Elementary School is looking for a School Secretary to join our office staff! This is a full-time position with benefits eligibility. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-4:30 PM The Front Desk School Secretary plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the school office. This position supports school staff, communicates with parents and students, manages records, and handles a variety of administrative tasks in a fast-paced educational environment. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Greet and assist visitors, parents, students, and staff in a professional and courteous manner Answer and route phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries Maintain and update student records, including attendance and enrollment data Prepare and distribute school correspondence, newsletters, and reports Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and school events Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries Maintain office supplies and inventory Assist the principal and other staff with clerical tasks and special projects Coordinate with teachers and support staff as needed Maintain confidentiality of student and staff records Enforce school policies and maintain a safe, welcoming environment in the front office Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or building
Administration Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred) Prior clerical or administrative experience, preferably in a school or educational setting Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and school management systems (e.g., PowerSchool, Infinite Campus) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask and manage interruptions professionally Friendly, patient, and able to work well with children and adults Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Bilingual Spanish Speaker Tiegerman is an EEO and AA employer
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
