You will own landed cost calculations (allocating international ocean/air freight, tariffs, and customs duties), inventory valuation on the Balance Sheet, and month-end GL reconciliations using mid-market ERP software and advanced Excel datasets.

Key Responsibilities Landed Cost & Import Tracking:
Calculate and allocate inbound freight, customs duties, tariffs, and logistics fees into inventory asset values across international shipments.Inventory Accounting:
Manage standard/actual inventory costing, perform physical-to-GL inventory reconciliations, monitor Work-in-Process (WIP), and track tooling assets at contract manufacturers.Month-End Close & GL:
Prepare journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, and execute AR/AP oversight in compliance with GAAP.Variance & Margin Analysis:
Conduct Purchase Price Variance (PPV) analysis and product margin tracking to support leadership decision-making.Data & ERP Operations:
Utilize ERP accounting software and Excel (XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables) to analyze cost drivers and build financial reports.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with purchasing, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory controls.Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field.Experience:
2+ years of GL accounting experience within a manufacturing, assembly, import/export, or physical product distribution environment.Technical Skills:
Proven experience using ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Sage, or equivalent) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Core Mechanics:
Solid grasp of landed cost concepts, inventory capitalization vs. P&L expense, and inventory variance analysis.Location:
