Job Description

The law firm of Marshall Dennehey seeks a full-time Project Assistant with 1+ years of experience for its Melville, NY office. Prior law firm experience preferred. We are seeking a detail oriented and reliable Project Assistant to support our team with a primary focus on record procurement and follow-up, along with general project support duties. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks while working with internal teams and external contacts.
Key Responsibilities:
Request, track, and procure records from various sources, including third parties and external vendors Maintain accurate records of requests, follow ups, and received documents Perform consistent follow up to ensure timely receipt of records Organize, review, and file records in accordance with established procedures Communicate professionally with internal staff and external contacts Provide administrative and project support as needed Perform other duties as assigned to support project goals
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous administrative, project support, or records management experience a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic database or tracking systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team
