East Setauket, NY 11733 (Confidential Client)
Position Type:
Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (In-Office)
Pay Rate:
$22.00 - $25.00+ / hour (DOE / Open for strong candidates) Job Overview A premier construction and engineering firm in East Setauket, NY, is seeking a dynamic, self-sufficient Administrative Assistant to serve as the backbone of their office operations. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional with strong Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow within a stable organization.
Key Responsibilities Data Entry & Records Management:
Perform high-volume data entry for various departments; scan, file, index, and organize physical and digital documentation.
Office & Mail Operations:
Process and review incoming mail, manage routine document shredding, and maintain physical file archives.
Administrative Support:
Provide daily clerical assistance to office managers and department teams on special projects and ad-hoc assignments.
Equipment & Systems:
Operate and maintain standard office equipment, including multi-function copiers, scanners, and document management tools.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
1-3+ years of clerical or administrative office experience (construction, civil engineering, or heavy industrial background preferred).
Software Proficiency:
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with intermediate/advanced proficiency in Excel and Outlook required.
Key Attributes:
High attention to detail, strong verbal communication, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
Work Arrangement:
100% on-site, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $22.00 - $25.00
