Join Our Team! We are a locally owned accounting firm looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Administrative Assistant to join our team. As the first person our clients see and speak with, you'll play an important role in providing exceptional customer service while helping keep our office running smoothly. Responsibilities include:
Greet clients and create a welcoming, professional first impression Answer and direct incoming phone calls Schedule appointments and maintain staff calendars Assist clients with questions and paperwork Process incoming and outgoing mail Scan, copy, file, and organize documents Prepare and assemble client tax return packets Maintain office supplies and help keep the office organized Run local errands for the office Support accountants with administrative tasks and special projects Help wherever needed to keep the office running efficiently During Tax Season Our front office plays an important role during tax season. You'll meet with clients when they pick up their completed tax returns, review the contents of their return packet, collect signatures when needed, process payments, and answer routine procedural questions. We'll provide training on our processes so you feel comfortable and confident. What We're Looking For Friendly, professional, and customer-focused Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Organized with strong attention to detail Able to prioritize and multitask in a busy office Dependable with a strong work ethic Comfortable handling confidential information Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) Comfortable learning new software, technology, and office procedures with the ability to adapt quickly Eager to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as the role grows Previous office, receptionist, administrative assistant, or customer service experience preferred, but we're willing to train the right person Why You'll Love Working Here Competitive hourly pay based on experience Stable, year-round employment Monday-Friday schedule Overtime opportunities January-April Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunity for growth within the firm and the accounting profession Schedule Monday through Friday between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Additional hours during tax season may be available.
