Job Duties Responsible for the supervision of employees assigned to the various clerical duties of maintenance operations, including Section Clerks. Develops and provides training, reference materials, best practices and standard operating procedures related to the various clerical duties of maintenance operations. Ensures that clerical best practices, policies, and standard operating procedures are followed. Assists in the performance of infrastructure maintenance management, including stockroom, fixed assets, small tool, and disposal management, recoverable work order administration, various administrative work and related activities of the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission. Performs routine random audit checks of material and supply inventory records to ensure that proper procedures are being followed. Provides department support for the management of issues dealing with the physical inventory of the turnpike's stock materials, fixed assets, small tools, and non-stock procurement methods. Monitors time and attendance, stock, purchase orders, contracts, and work orders. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Maintenance Engineer. Major Worker Characteristics Knowledge and proficiency of the current standard operating procedures (SOPs) and industry standard practices related to inventory control, purchasing, timekeeping, recoverable work orders, document retention, and other administrative tasks. Demonstrates strong patience and skill in teaching others clerical procedures, software applications, and standard workflows. Work independently with little or no supervision. Strong written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to complete documentation and forms accurately. Proficiency in office practices and the use of computer equipment and programs including electronic timekeeping, Business ERP, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Three (3) years prior experience or training in maintenance clerical and inventory control. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Valid State of Ohio Driver's License. Unusual Working Conditions The predominant work location is the various eight (8) Maintenance Buildings located across the Ohio Turnpike. Required to travel throughout the distance of the Ohio Turnpike. May be exposed to extreme weather conditions, dirt, grease, dust, unpleasant odors, and loud noises while working in cold storage or outdoors. Some climbing of ladders or scaffolding is required to reach tall storage areas.
