Secretary Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio (ESC of Eastern Ohio) Canfield, OH 44406
Full-time Full-time Position:
Secretary Hours:
195 days, 1560 hours 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (school year)
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; related coursework or degree preferred Recent, successful experience in a secretarial or administrative role handling diverse, multi-duty functions Thorough knowledge of modern office procedures and proficiency in operating standard office equipment Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs and Sheets) and school management software (DASL and ProgressBook preferred) Strong technical aptitude, including excellent keyboarding skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new software, programs, and devices Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a professional, welcoming, and public service-minded demeanor Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to support administrators, staff, students, and parents Ability to take direction well, work independently, and constructively apply feedback Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail Self-motivated, flexible, and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to take initiative Consistent use of excellent judgment, tact, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times Must successfully pass BCI/FBI criminal background checks and a pre-employment drug screening Strict compliance with drug-free workplace rules and Board of Education policies Demonstrated aptitude or competence for all assigned responsibilities Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may deem appropriate and acceptable
