Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Front Office Assistant to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front desk experience. Your expertise in medical administrative support, EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, and health information management will help streamline clinic operations. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient service while maintaining strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a busy medical practice dedicated to providing top-quality care. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures Manage appointment scheduling using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Verify patient insurance coverage, explain billing procedures, and perform medical collection tasks when necessary Review and update medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality policies Assist with documentation review, coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and basic medical billing processes Assist with patient work-up before consult with doctor. Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, directing calls efficiently while practicing proper phone etiquette Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and ensure timely data entry using Microsoft Office tools and other office software Experience Prior clinic experience in a medical office setting is highly preferred but not required. If you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach and train. Bilingual skills are desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite and typing skills (including 10-key typing) Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle phone communication professionally in a fast-paced environment Join us to make a meaningful difference in patient care!
