Responsibilities of theADN Administrator :
1. Work with Vice President of Academics and Director of Academic Affairs in all curriculum development, which includes course descriptions, syllabi, quiz/test banks and related learning resources. 2. Develop student-centric program requirements that provide the best opportunity for student success. 3. Participate in the selection and ongoing review of books, material, resources and technology and propose recommendations to the Vice President of Ohio Operations, Director of Academic Affairs and the Vice President of Academics. 4. In cooperation with the programs' academic team (campus faculty, Director of Academic Affairs, Vice President of Ohio Operations and Vice President of Academics). 5. Develop relationships with area clinical sites as required to meet practical training requirements for Valley College students and regulatory requirements of relevant regulators. This effort includes managing student/teacher ratios in accordance with the requirements of the board and the clinical site, management of staff performance, and coordination of all student activities. 6. Schedule and lead regular/periodic meetings with faculty and campus staff to facilitate communication in the periodic planning, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional strategies. 7. Lead the interviewing, selection, and hiring process of all faculty members. 8. Provide initial new hire faculty orientation for new faculty and ongoing instructional and academic support for faculty as requested by campus leadership. 9. Prepare and maintain a written policy for the evaluation of faculty, teaching assistants, and then, manage and/or conduct evaluations on each team member on a regular basis. 10. Based on evaluations and ongoing performance, periodically recommend faculty for appointment, promotion, retention, or termination as needed. 11. Coordinate, participate in and/or lead ongoing faculty development that focuses on core educational competencies, instructional strategies, and current industry events. 12. Assist in ongoing course/program development upon program approval and launch to ensure new courses are developed and existing courses are updated to meet current trends of the designated program. 13. Lead planning and design of classroom/lab equipment and report problems to the Ohio Operations, and Vice President of Academics, as necessary. 14. Work with the VP of Academics and VP of Operations on annual and quarterly budget planning process. 15. Prepare and manage an internal process for students to be prepared for theVTNE. 16.
Monitor Board pass results for theVTNE. 17.
Maintain programmatic inventory for consumable supplies and instructional equipment/materials and prepare order requests to be approved 18. Create and maintain a cooperative and professional learning environment. 19. Network through Program Advisory Committee (PAC) activities and/or other professional activities to seek industry professionals' feedback on curricula, instruction, and student learning outcomes, and document such feedback in the form of PAC minutes or other means of communication. 20. Develop programmatic Community Resource Activities (Field Trips, Guest Speakers) and ensure all documentation requirements are met. 21. Assist the IAIA (Institutional Assessment and Improvement Activities) Committee by providing data and data analysis for programmatic Student Learning Outcomes and lead the Systematic Plan of Evaluation 22.Other Duties As Assigned Requirements:
Requirements:
1) Must have at least four years of working experience as an RVT and have graduated from an AVMA accredited program. 2) These individuals must meet the continuing education requirements as set by the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board (OVMLB). 3) All incumbents must have the ability to express ideas in a clear, concise and motivating manner and employ effective questioning techniques to encourage students to pursue their own answers. 4) They must have the ability and organizational skills necessary to maintain an accurate tracking system and be able to establish a disciplined learning environment. The years of work experience and/or college degree will be verified by Valley College.Schedule:
