Job Description

What we need: We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of part-time permanent Administrative Professional 1 within the Division of Parks & Watercraft , headquartered at Mosquito Lake State Park in Trumbull County . The address is 1439 State Route 305, Cortland, Ohio 44410. Please note that this is a part-time position that is budgeted for approximately 1300 hours/fisc al year. The days/hours per week will vary and may include nights/weekends/holidays. What you will do… Provide secretarial assistance by performing routine administrative tasks at Mosquito Lake State Park (e.g., boat registrations, docks, mowing permits, camping reservations, special event paperwork); Provide excellent customer service (e.g., answer phones, screens & directs calls, greets visitors, gives directions, respond to office email account); Organize and assist with special events at the park; Work with volunteer groups at the park by providing and collecting forms, updating special event calendars, as needed; Serve as liaison between park manager and staff; Starting hourly pay of $22.59/hr. with multiple pay increases over your first 5.5 years of service, with an end salary of $26.54/hr. There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service.
