We focus on meeting the basic needs of our clients by providing emergency shelter, nutrition programs, wellness initiatives, and enriching community resources for families and seniors across Northeast Ohio. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Nutrition Coordinator to lead our nutrition services within our diverse care programs. The Senior Enrichment Services Coordinator is responsible for leading their team with professionalism and to be part of the bigger community of senior needs. This position not only includes general office duties but must be able to make quick decisions, be organized, and must possess a strong ability to multi-task. Manage office operations including statistical reporting, ordering food, managing vehicles, and all staff of food delivery. The Coordinator is also responsible for overseeing assessment of home delivered meals participants in their own homes and inputting assessment information into the state database for the program. Duties Works with director to implement new programs as the department grows and has a vision for meeting the needs of older adults. Ensures the requirements of all contracts federal, state, and local are met throughout the program. Oversee and ensure proper filing, mailing, and documentation of clients' information. Works with the Director to maintain all paperwork for audits. Supervises senior nutrition team and provides information for performance improvement to the Director. Controls scheduling of staff and assistance with payroll management for the team. Collaborates with outside agencies including Second Harvest, WRAAA, LCOA, LC Health Department and other agencies. Attends all agency meetings and events as required by the position. Provides support and assistance to the Director as needed. Compiles statistics and prepares driver's logs and reconciliation. Creates and updates driver routes based on new enrollments and changes to client delivery. Places orders for weekly meals including alternates and any community meals needed. Provides appropriate paperwork and information to the kitchen as needed to ensure accurate ordering and meal preparation. Maintains and manages vehicle fleet, ensures safety and cleanliness of vehicles and reports issues to Director in conjunction with the Director of Operations. Investigates and reports consumer and/or staff incidents to assist with resolving concerns or issues. Completes and/or oversees in timely manner all initial assessment and reassessments for Home Delivered Meal Program. Completes and/or oversees assessment information into state database for the program. Completes and/or oversees in timely manner all UCAN, referrals, new assessments, and Unite Us being addressed. Provides good communication with clients over the phone and in-person to address concerns and assist with their needs. Works with Program Director to cross train and be able to complete and oversee assessments, UCAN, Unite US and enter information correctly. Requirements Associate degree in social work, geriatrics or related fields is strongly preferred but will consider 2 years related work experience instead of degree Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Detail-oriented, good verbal and writing skills and computer literacy are needed. Supervisory skills required. Experience working with seniors and low income preferred. Outgoing, friendly personality and ability to work with people of all ages and skillsets. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Physical Demands:
In order to perform the essential functions of this position successfully the employee may be required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less. This position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow written or oral instructions and agency procedures. All functions must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
Typical Working Conditions:
This position operates in a office type environment as well as out in the community and/or in our kitchen. Basic office equipment and motor vehicles may be used on a consistent basis. Equipment such as an oven, stove, food warmer and chef's knives are utilized. The employee may be frequently exposed to heat, steam, and noise. In addition, the employee may also be exposed to heat/cold, steam, dust, cigarette smoke, pet dander, bacteria, noise, and communicable diseases.

From $40,000.00 per year
