Job Description

The Miami Township Police Department in Clermont County, Ohio is accepting cover letters and resumes for the full-time position of Administrative Assistant. This position reports directly to the Chief of Police and provides administrative support to help the police department provide world-class police services to the community. The position oversees the purchasing process and maintains sound fiscal management; coordinates billing and reimbursement requests; and monitors purchasing of supplies and equipment. The position assists with personnel recruitment, personnel selection, and promotional processes. The position regularly reviews and submits payroll. The position creates reports, conducts research, and completes tasks as needed at the direction of the Chief of Police. Applicants should possess strong recordkeeping, project coordination, and schedule keeping abilities. Applicants should possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills and be comfortable using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and X. Applicants must be comfortable interacting with community members and providing first-class customer service to both our residents and business community. A college degree in organizational office management or a related field is strongly preferred; but a high school diploma or equivalent is required to apply. Strong consideration will be given to applicants with three or more years of responsible administrative assistance in a public safety or government setting. This position is hourly with an anticipated salary range between $25.00 to $29.00 per hour, depending on education and experience. Online Applications must include a cover letter and resume.
