Workforce Federal Work Study
Job Description
Provide front desk and customer service support to students, instructors, and community partners. Assist with answering phones, responding to emails, and directing inquiries to appropriate staff members. Support student enrollment and registration processes for workforce training programs. Prepare training materials, packets, and classroom supplies for upcoming courses. Assist with data entry and maintaining student records and databases. Help organize and maintain electronic and paper filing systems. Support event planning and logistics for workforce trainings, orientations, career fairs, and community outreach events. Assist with tracking attendance, collecting documentation, and preparing reports as needed. Perform basic office tasks including copying, scanning, printing, and mail distribution. Provide support with social media updates, marketing materials, and communication efforts when assigned. Complete other departmental projects and duties as assigned. Computer skills, especially Microsoft Word Verbal and written communication skills Customer service experience Knowledge of office procedures and proper telephone etiquette Ability to work independently Ability to follow instructions and take initiative to perform essential tasks Daytime availability (Monday - Friday) While performing this training experience, the participant will be regularly required to sit; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The participant will occasionally be required to stand and walk. The participant must occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this training experience include close vision and ability to adjust focus (computer work and developing invoices).
