About this Position The Administrative Assistant for the Department of Chemistry at Oklahoma State University provides comprehensive administrative, payroll, purchasing, travel, facilities, academic, and departmental support to ensure efficient operations. This individual serves as a liaison to CAS Business Operations and the Dean's Office. Required Qualifications High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date) 5 years related experience Skills, Proficiencies, and/or
Knowledge:
Ability to operate general office equipment; proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality. Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to receive, handle, and direct packages and deliveries in the Chemistry Storeroom as a backup when the Chemistry Storeroom manager is away. Preferred Qualifications Experience with OSU accounts payable and financial procedures preferred. Experience with chemical, equipment, and computer surplus.
