A personal injury assistant at a chiropractic office plays a key role in coordinating care for patients involved in accidents and managing the documentation needed for their personal injury claims. This position requires a blend of administrative, customer service, and legal knowledge, ensuring patients receive appropriate care while also keeping legal and insurance matters organized.
Duties :
Patient Intake and Documentation:
Welcome new patients and gather detailed information on their injury, accident details, and previous medical history. Collect and organize necessary documentation, including medical records, accident reports, and insurance information.
Case Coordination:
Track treatment progress and update case files with new medical notes and reports. Act as a liaison between the patient, medical providers, and legal representatives, providing updates and managing communication. Communicate with attorneys involved in cases, providing them with necessary documentation for settlement or trials. Maintain clear and organized case files for each patient, ensuring that all relevant documents are up to date. Keep an eye on aging files while they are in the process of settling. Efficiently manage and file liens to ensure medical services get paid on time for services rendered.
Technical Skills:
Extremely proficient in computer systems and software. Including but not limited to EzBiz, Microsoft systems (outlook, word, excel) SquareSpace.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in personal injury case management, medical office, insurance billing, or chiropractic. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with high attention to detail. Knowledge of how chiropractic plays a role in personal injury, medical terminology, or lien filing. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
