Job Description

Job Overview We're seeking a compassionate and organized individual to join our team as a part-time Office Assistant. As an Office Assistant at our Humane Society, you'll provide administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of our shelter and programs.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Answer phones, respond to emails, and handle correspondence Respond to business-related emails, volunteer inquiries, and other correspondence
Financial Support:
Assist with budgeting, invoicing, and expense tracking
Newsletter:
Assist with newsletter preparation and distribution
Donor Relations:
Update Donor Perfect, prepare end-of-year tax letters, and acknowledge donations
Event Support:
Help coordinate events, fundraisers, and volunteer activities
HR Support:
Assist with employee onboarding, benefits administration, and personnel record-keeping
Confidentiality:
Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information, including animal, donor, and employee records
Requirements:
1-2 years of administrative experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with Donor Perfect Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compassion for animals and our mission Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Interpersonal Skills:
Must be able to remain patient, tactful, and pleasant when dealing with a diverse range of people and situations, often with competing priorities and emotional needs
Hours:
Part-time, 20-25 hours per week Some flexibility required, including occasional evenings and weekends If you're passionate about animal welfare and have administrative experience, we'd love to hear from you!

From $18.00 per hour
