Job Description
Administrative Assistant - Incoming Records Oregon Charter Academy 12-month full-time, Classified Mill City, Oregon School Summary Oregon Charter Academy (ORCA) is a virtual public school serving students in grades K-12 throughout the state. Teachers at ORCA are student-focused, adapting to meet students' educational needs through personalized learning using our high-quality curriculum and the teaching of 21st-century skills. ORCA is authorized by the Santiam Canyon School District and is governed by its own independent charter school board. The school has been in operation since 2005 and is accredited through Cognia, formerly AdvancED. Position Responsibilities Working primarily from the school's central office in Mill City, Oregon, the Administrative Assistant will be an integral part of the school and classified staff and report to the School Office Manager or another member of the Administrative team. The Administrative Assistant will support office operations and records management. While not meant to be an exhaustive list, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks: Administrative Support Provide high-level support to school staff and be an integral part of the classified staff; Enter data into the online student information system; Send records requests to previous schools of enrolled students; Check in records as they come in; Create digital files as needed; Create kindergarten files; Yearly file maintenance; and Additional duties as assigned. Position Requirements Requirements HS Diploma Strong technology, organization and time management skills Excellent communication skills, both oral and written High degree of flexibility and dependability Ability for minimal travel for, required All-Staff meetings, and other meetings or events Ability to work in the Mill City office and remotely at times Ability to work occasional evening hours, as needed Preferred Background Bachelor Degree School administrative assistant experience Skilled with
