0 Springfield, OR Job Details Part-time From $22 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Job Overview The Visitor Services and Membership Coordinator at Emerald Art Center is a critical role focused on providing outstanding member and visitor experiences, leading the front desk team, connecting prospective members, and ensuring excellent management. This role requires a proactive, technologically inclined, and team oriented candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Membership Experience and Sales
  • Ensure visitors and members have a positive and engaging gallery experience.
  • Manage all areas of membership lifecycle, from acquisition to retention
  • Oversee membership data, member orientation, and managing member participating hours. Front Desk and Team Management
  • Supervise, coordinate, and mentor the front desk staff, ensuring gallery guide delivery of exceptional customer service and maintaining gallery appearance
  • Maintain gallery greeter schedule to ensure daily coverage and event coverage
  • Oversee gallery art sales, gift shop sales, and event/program registration procedures and communication.
  • Operate opening/closing procedures, lead with professionalism, develop operating procedures for front desk efficiency
  • Assist with Art Walk and other onsite events
  • Maintain registration, visitor data and reporting, and facilitate communication between member teams and staff Facility Management
  • Monitor and ensure gallery security and enforce visitor policies
  • Monitor gallery cleanliness and helps to identify maintenance needs
  • Maintain inventory, stock and order supplies for common areas (kitchen, bathroom, gallery, and reception)
Qualifications Education:
2 years of general clerical experience. An Associates or Bachelors degree in Office Technology or related field. Relevant experience in lieu of a degree considered.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in customer service, sales, or operations role, preferably in arts or high-end service environment. Team management experience highly desirable.
Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of arts and nonprofit organizations with a passion for creativity and community building, familiarity with arts-related trends, and commitment to continuous learning.
Skills Professionalism and Mentorship:
proven ability to lead and motivate team members setting a positive example in service and collaboration. Patient, positive, and friendly customer service skills.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written skills, builds strong relationships among members, staff, and collaborators. 1
Technical:
Proficient with Microsoft suite, Google Docs and Drives, Canva, Mailchimp, Wix website, social media, and digital marketing tools.
Organization:
Strong time management, self-motivated, and multitasking in fast-paced environment.

Thinks quickly, addresses issues efficiently, patiently, and effectively. Seeks guidance and works as a team to resolve challenges.
