We are seeking a highly organized and bilingual (English/Spanish) Administrative Assistant to join our team. Based out of our office in The Dalles, you will provide critical remote and local support to our Administrator located in Pendleton. This part-time position offers the opportunity to grow into a full-time role for a dedicated professional passionate about team coordination and community relations.About Almost Family :
Founded in 1984, Almost Family provides support to the elderly and intellectually and/or developmentally disabled (IDD). Our mission is to help our clients achieve and prolong their independence through providing care that feels like family. Responsibilities Assist with recruitment efforts, applicant tracking, and general hiring processes. Facilitate staff onboarding and initial training coordination. Serve as a primary point of contact for client and family communications, utilizing bilingual skills to ensure clear and empathetic engagement. Manage scheduling, calendar coordination, and appointment tracking. Support community engagement initiatives and represent the organization in local outreach efforts. Perform data entry, file organization, and other administrative duties as assigned. Requirements Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and verbal) is required. Previous experience in an administrative, clerical, or customer service role. 1+ year of I/DD or In Home Care experience preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask. Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating effectively with clients, families, and internal staff. Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
