Job Description

​ Southwood Hospital offers comprehensive programming for children and adolescents struggling with mental health disorders and any co-occurring disorders. Understanding that the emotional, behavioral, and cognitive concerns that plague children and adolescents often affect their loved ones as well, Southwood Psychiatric Hospital is proud to offer intensive, home-based crisis stabilization services through its Family Based Mental Health Services program. We are looking to fill an opportunity for a Administrative Assistant to support the Family Based team at the Canonsburg offices. This facility is not located on public transportation. Candidates must be 21 years of age to work in patient facing roles.
PURPOSE STATEMENT
​ P rovid e administrative support to facility management to ensure efficient operation of the facility . ​
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
​ Support managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. ​ Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. ​ Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures. ​ Effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all duties are completed accurately, delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. ​ Attend meetings and take accurate minutes. ​ May responsible for accurate and timely physician credentialing. ​ May direct and lead the work of others. ​ May m anage and coordinate administrative programs and office activities. ​ C reate spreadsheets, manage databases and prepare presentations, reports and documents as needed . ​ Answer telephones and take messages or transfer calls. ​ May cover the reception desk when required . ​ Calendar management, s chedule appointments , update cal endars and arrange staff meetings ​

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
​ High school diploma or equivalent required . ​ Associate ' s degree preferred . ​
