Job Description

Job Summary .The Charter School Secretary provides administrative support to the school's leadership, staff, students, and families. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the school office and is often the first point of contact for the school community. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, personable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Manage phone calls, emails, and other correspondence. Maintain accurate student records including enrollment, attendance, health records, transportation information, and emergency contacts. Assist with student registration, transfers, and withdrawals Support scheduling, calendar management, and coordination of meetings/events. Prepare reports, letters, memos, and other documents as requested. Maintain office supplies and inventory; place orders as needed. Handle confidential information with discretion. Support staff with clerical and organizational tasks. Assist with student supervision as needed (e.g., during lunch, arrival/dismissal). Assist students to log into remote special services Coordinate communications between school staff and families. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Administration Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred. Prior experience in an office or school setting is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Strong interpersonal skills and a welcoming, friendly demeanor. Knowledge of student information systems (e.g., PowerSchool) is a plus. Background check and fingerprint clearance required.
Working Conditions:
Office environment within a school setting Interaction with students, parents, staff, and administrators. May involve occasional lifting of supplies/materials (up to 40 lbs). Standard school hours with occasional after-hours events or meetings.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
