Primarily in office Position Summary Voices for Independence is seeking a Personal Assistance Services Assistant Manager to provide daily operational leadership for our Erie PAS office. This position will support PAS staff, monitor daily service needs, and make sure staffing concerns, consumer issues, documentation, EVV, authorizations, and prebill items receive timely follow-through. The Assistant Manager will help create a culture where expectations are clear, employees take ownership of their responsibilities, and consumers remain at the center of our decisions. The right person will be able to lead the Erie operation each day while helping employees grow and creating systems that continue working even when the leader is not in the room. Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day PAS operation for the Erie location. Review open shifts, call-offs, missed visits, vulnerable consumers, new service starts, hospitalizations, and unresolved concerns. Make sure operational issues have a clear owner, expected next step, and timely follow-through. Support schedulers with difficult coverage, consumer and caregiver concerns, and service recovery. Coach employees, set expectations, and address performance concerns. Monitor EVV, timesheets, documentation, authorizations, and prebill readiness. Make sure consumers are kept informed when services change or problems occur. Escalate urgent safety, abuse, neglect, exploitation, fraud, and other reportable concerns. Coordinate with Recruiting, Intake, Nursing, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Payroll, Billing, and other departments. Identify recurring operational problems and bring possible solutions to the PAS Manager. Provide the PAS Manager with a clear picture of the Erie location's operational health, staffing concerns, and significant risks. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent At least 18 years of age Experience in PAS, home care, or another home and community-based services setting Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to coach employees and hold others accountable Ability to prioritize competing operational needs and meet deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and other office technology Ability to complete required criminal background and child abuse clearances Ability to travel throughout VFI's service area as needed Preferred Qualifications Previous supervisory or team-lead experience Experience with consumer scheduling or home-care operations Knowledge of EVV, HHAeXchange, authorizations, documentation, or prebill processes Knowledge of Pennsylvania home-care requirements Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field About Voices for Independence The mission of Voices for Independence is to empower people with disabilities and promote independent living.
