Job Description
Position Summary:
An employee in this position will perform confidential secretarial/clerical duties for theIndiana County Technology Center:
Joint Operating Committee; Professional Advisory Committee; and the Administrative Director. The employee is responsible for greeting visitors, responding to inquiries, directing and screening calls, and providing administrative support. This position involves a high degree of professional judgment, use of independent discretion and has daily involvement with confidential matters. The Administrative/Board Secretary has access to ICTC's Administration files, Business files, Personnel files and Student files including health information contained within. The Administrative/Board Secretary must comply with established policies and procedures.Required Experience:
- Knowledge of business equipment, Microsoft Office and all other general administrative procedures.
- Knowledge of personnel, student and public relations techniques
- Knowledge of bidding procedures
- Knowledge of current office management techniques
- Knowledge of operating of security systems.
- Knowledge of Roberts Rules and Sunshine Laws.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with supervisors, district personnel, students and the general public.
- Ability to handle confidential information and material with discretion.
- Ability to maintain complex records and to prepare accurate reports.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed oral and written instructions.
- Ability to use word processing, data base and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to work simultaneously on multiple tasks for multiple personnel and be detailed oriented.
- Skilled in critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Maintain and exhibit high ethical and moral standards in interacting with Staff, Students and those having business dealings with the Indiana County Technology Center.
Preferred Qualification:
- Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college-level coursework in business, secretarial science. OR Specialized training, certificate or degree in Secretarial Arts/Office Management is desirable, although extensive experience may be sufficient
- More than four (4) years of experience in office management and/or secretarial work.

- PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
- Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
