The Opportunity & Impact You will be the operational heartbeat of Borough Hall. This multifaceted role bridges the gap between our residents, elected officials, and daily operations across administration, finance, and building codes.
Responsibilities include:
Welcoming residents and visitors and answering phone calls Providing helpful front-desk customer service Preparing meeting minutes and supporting Borough meetings Assisting with public records and records compliance Coordinating permit applications with the Building Code Official Providing general administrative support to Borough operations
Experience:
2-4 years of robust administrative, office coordination, or public-facing experience. (Prior experience in local government, PA Borough Code, or municipal software is highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right corporate-to-public transition candidate).
Education:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent blended professional experience.
Skills:
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint). Strong de-escalation and customer service skills are vital—you know how to handle an anxious contractor or a confused resident with patience and grace.
Compliance Mindset:
A sharp eye for regulatory detail and an absolute commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive municipal, financial, and personnel files.
Logistics:
