Job Description

Job Summary TITLE :
Township Administrative Assistant Athens Township is seeking a dependable, organized, and professional Administrative Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support to Township staff, the Board of Supervisors, and Planning Commission.
Duties include:
  • preparing meeting agendas and materials
  • maintaining files and records
  • assisting with Right-to-Know requests and zoning applications
  • updating the Township website
  • handling correspondence
  • assisting residents
  • performing general office and receptionist duties
  • attend occasional trainings Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, strong organizational and communication skills, intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office, and the ability to maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality; previous administrative or receptionist experience is preferred.
This is a full-time, non-union position with benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.); may also include evening/weekend hours, plus meetings / workshops. Hiring is contingent upon passing pre-employment criminal background checks. Salary to commensurate with experience.
